The Ariadna IC1G, IF3 and ILF6 work in low voltage distribution networks, 50 or 60 Hz, up to 440Vac.
This equipment must be connected to live cables, and it works in any kind of cable, isolated or non-isolated cables, underground or overhead, Al, Cu, with XLPE isolation etc.

Which are the differences between the different equipment of the Ariadna range?
The differences between the different equipment are the following:
| Functionalities | ||||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cable Id. | Max. num. cables | Phase Id. | Cable Location (max 35cm) | |
| Ariadna IC1G | Upstream | 1 | No | Yes (Upstream) |
| Ariadna IF3 | No | - | Downstream | No |
| Ariadna IF3+IC1G-RX | Upstream | 1 | Downstream | Yes (Upstream) |
| Ariadna ILF6 | Downstream | 6 | Downstream | No |
| Ariadna ILF6+IC1G-RX | Up&Dowstream | 6(Down)/1(Up) | Downstream | Yes (Upstream) |
How do the TX and RX devices of the Ariadna communicate?
The transmitter and the receiver of the Ariadna range communicate by means of coded messages through the low voltage distribution network. This way we avoid the communication problems due to coverage, that appear in similar equipment that uses radio or GSM technology to communicate.

How much time does it take to identify a cable, phase or feeder?
Which is the identification range and the accuracy in the identification of a cable, phase or feeder?
Thanks to the iCPS system (Current Pulse Shaping) used by the Ariadna equipment, identification is completely reliable, even in long cables.
Which standards are the Ariadna IC1G, IF3 and ILF6 compliant with?
Ariadna Network Identifiers meet European Low Voltage Directive 73/23/CEE and are compliant with:
Ariadna IF3 Central Device, Ariadna ILF6 Central Device:
UL220 Line Device, Ariadna IC1G TX Transmitter, Ariadna IC1G RX Receiver:
The Ariadna TRZ line locator will be available by the end of 2006
